Halley’s Signature Firm It Up Facial at Halley Medical Aesthetics

When you move to another country, it´s very difficult to find out the suitable facial products, since you have no idea how the skin will adapt to the weather. That is the exact same case for me. I arrived in Singapore with a container filled with same beauty products I had for the last 3 years ever since I was in the Beauty industry, doing PR for a lot of big brands. I got to test so many fantastic brands —  they were all very unique in their own way. So I was pretty confident when I moved, I would at least have one product that would suit my skin. 

Boy I was wrong. 

Since I come from Scandinavia, we have very very cold weather – and it almost never reaches the kind of heat that we have here in Singapore. And if it does, we certainly don’t get the humidity. So all my very nice facial lotion, just started to melt off my face when I go out. If I put on hand lotion. I would drop any kind of item that I was trying to pick up.

I have been forced to think in a whole new way when I choose products that my skin can actually absorb and work with, instead of turning into a slippery human being. 

I began to notice that my skin was looking a little “sad”…

Back in Denmark, I would often go and get an Oxygen facial to boost my skin. It’s the same ones that the celebrities used before going on the red carpet. But I could feel that my skin really need some extra help. I even got pigmentation and the sun was not even half as strong in Singapore! I started using sunblock that was actually meant for patients that had been treated for skin cancer, just to be on the safe side.

I had pictures taken of my skin, so I could see it in all layers and I was shocked to find out that I actually had really damaged skin — a lot of it was due to  sun damage. You cannot see it with the naked eye but I shall be the first one to admit that I have in my early days gone to the tanning salon quite a lot. I don’t know if this is a Scandinavian thing, since we take every opportunity that we get to be in the sun. But it really made me realize, that you cannot treat your skin this way. Someday, there will be a price to pay and that day was today.

I asked Dr. Terence Tan from Halley Medical Aesthetics for his recommendation, since the last conversation we had, he had a perfect solution for my problem. He recommended a combined treatment called Halley’s Signature Firm It Up Facial which includes the Super Trio Radio Frequency (RF)treatment.

Mandy, my experienced therapist, ended the treatments with a very soothing head and shoulder massage. 

It took two weeks for the skin to really get its glow and all the products to kick in – and oh my, oh my it did! I had the treatments done right before christmas and before I went back to Denmark; to the cold weather and a very long flight.
