When you move to a new country, you lose all the “where to go” knowledge, that you have had before – where to get your hair done, the best manicure, botox and other beauty treatments. It´s like being born again with absolutely new information on any of these subjects.

So as the blogger I am, I of course did my research. I too read blogs for the best recommendations I can get; from other fellow bloggers that have gone somewhere for a good treatment –  so good that they actually want to share with their readers.

So I googled and found a local blogger, who had gone to a clinic called Halley Medical Aesthetics who had tried different treatments (and actually some of the same that I was looking to try) and the outcome of her results, was exactly like she wanted. So there was no doubt that I needed to go there. I googled the clinic and they had really good reviews which is something that is very important to me.

For me, it is not about saving money or get a quick fix. I only want to work with the best as I have done in Denmark. Cosmetic treatment is all about feeling safe and knowing that you put your life into the hands of only professional people, not about getting as many treatments for the less of the cost.

I went to see Dr. Terence Tan a month ago, with a list of questions and a handful of treatments that I wanted to try. First of all, I needed a new place to go and get botox. I needed a new place to get a divine facial. I needed a place where I could go and explore some of the treatments, that you can’t get in Denmark yet, since Singapore is moving so much faster than Europe in the beauty industry.

What I liked about  Dr. Terence Tan was that he quickly crossed over 4 treatments on my list, saying that I didn’t need them, since I was too young. But together, we found a good balance of treatments that are suitable for my age and my needs.

I’m always open for new things, but I also have things that I’m never gonna try, so I don’t jump on anything people recommend. I would never put anything in my lips, maybe because my lips is the only thing on my body that does not need “fixing”. I’m just a woman – what can I say ; )

But I’m all up for staying young and if I can cheat age with simply treatments, you can sign me up! If it doesn’t harm your body, I don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t be trying them. So I told  Dr. Terence Tan about my issues about my outer thighs.

Over the years and after being pregnant, my body has changed radically. For some reason, a lot of excess fat has camped on the sides of my thighs and it is giving me an odd shape. I don’t feel comfortable in my own skin when I get dressed – in Denmark, I used a shapewear brand called SPANX that helped me shape my body and gave me perfect slim lines. But in Singapore, it’s simply too hot to wear this kinds of garments. So you are forced to deal with your problem areas and this might not be the worse that can happen.

Dr. Terence Tan told me about this really cool treatment called CoolSculpting – CoolSculpting is a freezing procedure that contours the body by safely and effectively freezing away unwanted fat for good without surgery or downtime. I have tried with exercise and it has not helped, so I thought that I would give this treatment a try.

I had my areas frozen, but I won’t see the end results yet, because the treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen) and over time, my body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. The process takes about 3 months.

I’m still counting but I can already see a big change, so I’m feeling pretty confident that over some time I will see an even bigger change. I promise to show you pictures from my treatments soon ; )
